Wood Middle School Events
Jamba Juice Days (TBD for the 2021-22 school year)
On the 3rd Thursday during the months of September - May, Jamba Juice is offered to the students for purchase at lunchtime. A Jamba Juice package may be pre-purchased by parents at the beginning of the school year and students will thereby receive their prepaid, reserved juice on Jamba Juice Day. To pre-purchase a Jamba Juice package for your student, please use the Jamba Juice Form. This is a favorite fundraiser for the kids.
Wood Winterfest
Wood Winterfest is an evening social event at Wood for all Wood students celebrating school spirit on a Friday evening during January or February. Things to do during the event include carnival type games, dodgeball, poker, dancing, a wacky hair salon, etc. Dinner and snacks are available. Punch cards are available to pre-purchase, but all games and food are available for a nominal price or free!
Community Fundraising Opportunities
The Wood PTSA partners with local businesses to offer special deals or events for the benefit of both Wood Middle School families and the PTSA. Look for notices announcing special Family Dinner nights at MOD Pizza, Chipotle, Noodles & Co. and others! All proceeds from these types of events go to the Wood Middle School PTSA to help fund school activities and events.
Parent Chat Nights
During the school year, the Wood PTSA hosts several Parent Chat Nights to which we invite guest lecturers to speak on current topics particularly geared for parents of middle schoolers. Generally, we begin our Parent Chat Nights with a quick recap of PTSA business, followed by a speaker, with time at the end for questions and parent discussion. Topics and dates for the Parent Chat Nights are TBD in 2021-22, but they will be posted on this website and our social media pages.
Staff Appreciation
As a PTSA, we like to show our appreciation to our Wood teachers and staff by hosting an occasional meal for them, especially during conference time. We call upon our parents to make and donate items for these occasions. More information and donation opportunities will be posted on our website and social media pages.
